Hi! This is the last blog of the semester ( and that’s makes me really happy because I want end the semester ), and i will talk about the blog experience. First I will talk about the things that I like about write the blogs. I like write in general about different topics (I have soul of blogger haha) and express different things of my interest, my opinions, my likes, my career, and the things that I want to say or make public. And that’s the reason that my favorite blog was when I make public to you the new album of Kali Uchis (and I’m following in love with her new music).  As well as, write blogs in english is a unconventional and interesting way to learn how write in this language. I don’t know if write blogs with a establish topic is the most funny of the world but isn’t boring like a conventional class (or write a test!). But I don’t like other things like when I finish to write I tell in the post of my classmates and only the teacher tell in my posts! And I don’t kn

changes in sociology

Image
Today, i will talk about changes that i want to my career. I will talk about three changes that i think that are important to make a better sociology. First, i would change the subject of society and population of the second semester and i would put that subject in the first semester, because i think that this subject is too basic to something of the second semester, but in the first semester the student can have a first impression about statistics. In their place I would put social psychology of the first semester. Follow that change, I would put a subject about the diversity of people or put more bibliography about it in the subject “sociology theory”, because the most part of the text don’t have present that the sociology is not a uniform multitude. In this year, we only learn a text with the diversity of people in their focus in one of the unit about the school of Chicago. Anthropology have that vision most present that sociology. To the end, I would change the subject about “

Economy is my favorite subject in this semester

Image
Hi! in this moment i will talk about economy. Why? because is my favorite subject in this semester and this is too weird because i remember that economy scare me! because maths wasn't my favorite subject in the school and i was have the prejudice that maths are all in economy. And that's not.  As well as, I think that i’m not too bad in maths. I like economy because we can explain the behaviour of people’s through their decisions, because economy study decisions. I think we can complement it with the other social sciences (of course, like sociology). And the economy like social science is so funny. Maybe, the administration can be the part of economy that i dislike, but my subject isn’t about it. We are studying micro and macro economy, and now we are in the market fails. I like it so much because i think that now i have more complement to understand the economic phenomenon in the actual system. I have a brother and a sister that studied economy and i was think that is too bo

Post graduate in social sciences

I know i'm on 2nd year of sociology but i think we need to think in the future and of our interest. Also, i know that sociology isn't have the best work field, so i think that i will follow my studies in the department of social sciences of University of Chile or other university that teach a post graduate in social investigation. I know that University of Chile have a post graduate of systematic analysis apply on the society. That post graduate teach about social analysis and deliver tools to understand the society by a constructivist perspective and work with it in the society. I think that can be a good  way to work in lgbt+ politics because constructivism is the most important perspective in the queer studies and tha's my principal interest topic in the social sciences. I will study in Chile because other universities by other coutries are to expensive and i don't know if i will have the money, and the less expensive aren't too good like University of Chile or

Sit-in as a reflection process

Image
Feminist sit-in in FACSO was one of the best social movement that i've seen. The sit-in was change the visions of the way of protest through the man's and woman's role, and that's so important to the social movements to the future. The genres was the most important thing that i was think in thats 2 mounths. Who is a man? who is a woman? I think that the world is to binary and some people can not feel comfortable with the binary roles. Since we were kids, we have toys to the boys and toys to the girls. The same with the clothes, with the way to express our ideas, the way to stand up, the way to speak. We learn to be boys and girls, but we do not need be boys or girls. The binarism was one of the main topics that the sit-in gave me to think. I think that I'm a victim of heteropatriarchy, because I'm not a "straight" man, and i'm not like other men and i don't feel identify with the masculinity. But I do not have the same "level of victim&

I love the sociology, but i love the music too!

I love my career, and i want to finish it and start to work in lgbt+'s topics, maybe in a ONG, and work in topics like this was my favorite reason to study social sciences. I want to do investigations  of the social constructions about being LGBT+, or investigate to politics about the sexual orientation and genre identy. I know that i will have my own office, but i want to know the experience of other different people and feel that i will do something to contribute in the LGBT+'s rights.  I know that sociology is my ideal career. But why we need to have only one work for the rest of the life? I don't know if i want the sociology for the rest of my life and i think that i want to study musical production and work with the chilean musical scene. I want to make experimental pop music and live making my own music and music to other people, because i think that we have a few experimental musiscians in Chile and i want to be part of that scene. I can imagine me travelling

The album that i most listened on the last time

Image
One friend recommended me a new album by a new artist called Kali Uchis and I can’t stop to listen it. The album is called “Insolation” and I can’t classify it in one genre. That is a mix by pop, soul, R&B, and alternative, and that have collaborations with psychedelic band Tame Impala, alternative R&B singer Jorja Smith, 90’s legend Damon Albarn of Blur, the rapper Tyler The Creator and the reggaeton singer Raykon (yes, Kali is very versatile). But, although the good collaborations, she is a queen and the protagonist of her own album. Kali Uchis is a colombian singer and in “Insolation” she sing in English, but in some songs she sing in Spanish.   That’s good to fans of SZA or Amy Winehouse. Before the debut of “Insolation”, Kali collaborate with Tyler the Creator, Snoop Dogg, Gorillaz and Juanes. I think that’s a good beginning to a latin american singer and she can be a good influence to people that want to start a musical career in the alternative music but born in a
